Collecting submissions from Instagram

If you’re hosting a Hashtag or Photo/Video Contest, you can automatically collect submissions from Instagram! Standard image posts, as well as Reels and videos can be imported via your required hashtag(s) and automatically published to your Gallery page if Auto-approval is enabled in your campaign.

Hashtag Entry

Instagram now requires that you have a Business Profile connected to your Facebook page in order to pull hashtags from the platform. For more information on this update, see this article. As part of this update, you can now only pull in hashtag posts from the previous 24 hours when importing retroactively.

Click “Hashtags” in the Form Entry area of your campaign’s Overview screen.

Then type in the required hashtag or hashtags for entry (you can require just one, multiple, or add separate optional hashtags with additional hashtag groups).

Now, let fans know that they can enter by uploading to Instagram and including your required hashtag(s) in the caption (the entrant’s profile must be public as well).

Direct Upload

In a Photo/Video Contest (not a Hashtag Contest) you can also enable direct form entry to give entrants another option for submitting or to collect additional entry data. Just enable Form Entry (if not already enabled) and users can visit the Entry page to directly upload their photo or video file (up to 250MB), add their entry’s caption and other required form data, and submit the entry.
