After the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) went into effect on May 25th 2018, your business may have decided to disallow certain countries (or all but your own) from entering your promotions. If so, you can block countries (or just ask entrants for their country) with our new Country field. Here’s how:
On the Entry page in the Design or Customize section, click on the Form element to select it, click the “Settings” tab on the left, and then click “Add form field”. From the menu, choose “Country”.
If you wish to restrict certain countries from entering, be sure to click the “Required” toggle switch to change it to “Yes”. Once you click the “Required” switch, you will see several continent drop-downs. In the drop-downs, you can click on specific countries to block from the campaign, or click “All” to block the entire continent. You can also choose a country that will be pre-selected.
Entrants will now be required to select their country. If they select a blocked country, the visitor will see an editable message that reads “This campaign is not available in your country”. You can change that message in the “Blocked message” field.
