Why Can’t Users Vote on Mobile?

Getting reports from fans that they can’t vote on their phone? Here are some of the top reasons why.

1. When your voting is configured to only allow users one vote per photo per Facebook user per day, a cookie is created in the browser that detects a Facebook user from that browser has already successfully voted. To allow multiple users to vote from the same browser on the same device, have them log out of their Facebook account and clear the browser cache and cookies. If the user has not already voted, logs into their Facebook account, and navigates to your Gallery, they will now be able to vote.

2. When your contest is configured to only allow users to vote once per photo per Facebook user or Facebook user per day, all users will be required to accept the Facebook authorization dialog in order for their vote to count. Inform them to make sure the Facebook auth dialog popup is not blocked by their popup blocker. Also, on a mobile device, the user must be logged into their Facebook account in the same browser used to access the Gallery. If the required popup doesn’t go away when pressing continue, the user is likely not logged into their Facebook account in that browser.

3. If your contest is configured to only allow users one vote per photo per IP address, any user that attempts to vote from the same internet connection after a vote has already been cast won’t be able to do so. Troubleshooting option: Have mobile users disconnect from Wifi.

You can view each individual vote in your contest from the Vote Export File located in the Winners/Top Votes window.
