Before you can get started with setting up your YouTube Tab, or any other Woobox apps, you’ll need to log in to your Woobox account with Facebook (or sign up for a free account if you haven’t done so already). Once you’ve done that, you can get right down to business!
STEP 1) Create a new tab
Click Facebook Tabs on the left, then select the YouTube option.
STEP 2) YouTube Username
Once you’ve successfully added your YouTube Tab, you’ll see the Edit page of the dashboard, where you’ll configure the settings for your tab to determine what content is displayed. The most important setting is the first one: the YouTube Username (or Channel ID) whose videos will be displayed in the tab.
How to find your YouTube username
Simply go to YouTube and view your YouTube Channel, where you can find the YouTube Username in the URL, as shown (highlighted) in the image below. Copy that last piece of the URL (in the example, the YouTube Username is thelonelyisland) and paste it into the YouTube Username input for your tab’s settings. (Having issues with your tab? STEP 3) Specifying a featured video
Now that you’ve added your YouTube Username, you can decide whether you’d like to choose a specific video to be shown as the default “Featured Video” within the tab (the large video that is shown at the top of the tab when it loads).
If you choose to specify a video to be featured in your tab, you will need to get the URL of the video from YouTube. Once you’ve chosen the video you’d like to feature in the tab, (for our example, we chose “SEMICOLON” by The Lonely Island), you’ll need to get the URL for that video (see instructions below), to input as the Featured URL for your tab’s settings.
How to Find the Video URL
Go to the video you’d like to feature, as if you were going to watch it on YouTube. In the options below the video, click Share and copy the shareable URL given there (see image below). Go back to your Woobox dashboard and paste the copied URL into the Featured URL input for the tab settings.
Now just click the big green Save Changes button and you should be good to go!
