If your page has less than 2,000 likes, read this!
If you admin a smaller Facebook business page, you may have noticed some differences or run into some issues lately. Attempting to install a Custom HTML Fangate Tab, you were probably shown this error message at the top of your Woobox dashboard:
This message actually comes directly from Facebook, not Woobox. Notice that the error says “this page” does not have permissions, as opposed to “you” do not have permissions.
As a part of Facebook’s newest security updates, they are no longer allowing any business pages with less than 2,000 likes to install tabs that may contain “custom HTML”. In terms of your Woobox tabs, this means Custom HTML Fangate Tabs.
The good news: Using Woobox, even smaller pages can still install Social Media tabs, and all other Campaign tabs! This means you can still install your Sweepstakes, UGC Contests, Quizzes, Coupons, etc. with no issues.
Direct links to profiles from a username
Another update to privacy on Facebook removes the direct link to a personal profile from a username collected from a reaction or comment on your post. After selecting a winner, be sure to announce the winner(s) on social media, and ask them to contact you to verify their identity.
